We are bringing you a lot of new things you wouldn’t expect to see at a typical retail event. We will have a couple of fantastic secret speakers, whose identities will not be revealed until they appear on screen. They will be inspiring voices with thought-provoking and challenging stories to tell.

We will also have a cook-a-long, an interactive virtual get-together where ex-Noma head chef Matt Orlando will be talking us through how to make a special dish using everyday cupboard staples.

There will also be some ‘bigger picture’ speakers who are on the frontline of innovation in their fields, and who you wouldn’t usually see at a typical retail event but whose insights are both exciting and important in terms of what they spell out for the future of how we live, work, buy and use technology.

THE BIG DEBATE: two speakers will go head-to-head with differing viewpoints, to convince the audience of their argument. Come to this prepared to get involved, as we will be asking you to vote your opinion in a poll before and after the debate.

EXPERTS DISCUSS SESSIONS: rapid-fire discussions where a maximum of 3 people will debate a key topic. The participants all have different perspectives and views on the hot topic they’re discussing, so you can expect to come away with a broad understanding of the topic in question.

FORGING THE FUTURE: composed of three 5 minute lightning keynotes, where experts who are hacking the same challenge in different ways will present their unique take on the topic. These are followed by a swift, dynamic discussion.

LET’S TALK … SERIES: aimed at looking at future technology and innovations, with a view to reflect on what these could mean for consumers and businesses in the future.

THE CONNECTED FILM SERIES: a collection of short films about a variety of key topics.

GREEN SHOOTS OF RETAIL SERIES: a collection of short presentations, each one looking at a new retail trend which has emerged from 2020.

IN MY VIEW: a series of themed videos that will see senior leaders answer the same 3 questions pertaining to that particular theme. Each speaker will have 10 minutes to answer the 3 set questions.

DAILY WRAP-UPS: a pundit-style commentary on the day’s content, highlighting key takeaways and offering personal perspectives on them.

IDEAS FACTORY SESSIONS: sharp presentations where experts will share an idea or opinion on a topic to give viewers actionable takeaways. These are designed to provide senior retailers with original, challenging ideas that make them think differently about different aspects of the retail agenda, that they will want to feed back to their businesses.

THE GREAT GLOBAL PITCH OFF: 5 senior retailers will set a handful of start-ups the task of pitching their solutions, to solve a specific challenge the retailer has.
